U.S. Metals is certified to laminate Uni-Solar thin-film (Uni-Solar PVL Series) directly onto U.S. Metals' standing seam metal roofing panels.  The photovoltaic is laminated directly onto the standing seam metal panel between the panel seams.  This eliminates the "billboard" appearance of glass photovoltaic systems.  Amongst the most impressive attributes of the PVL Series is its size, 0.1" thick, it is flexible, so it can be curved, and it is more resistant to hail and other projectiles than glass PV panels.  Because it is laminated directly to the roofing system it is the only truly roofing integrated solar energy solution.

Power ratings of the photovoltaic laminates range from 64W to 136W.  The PVL Series is shadow and heat resistant resulting in reliable power output year-round.  U.S. Metals works directly with Uni-Solar engineers to ensure your system is designed for optimal performance.

PVL Series performance benefits:

  • High temperature and low light performance
  • 20 year warranty on power output at 80%
  • Multi-contact connectors or junction box
  • Bypass diodes for shadow tolerance
  • UL listed to 600 VDC
  • Meets IEC 61646 Requirements
